Ace’s stabilizing effect only activates through direct physical contact. A simple touch can ground a Lock’s emotional spikes and temporarily disable their powers. With prolonged contact, their abilities can be completely suppressed for hours.
Unlike most Keys, his effect is immediate and repeated exposure creates dependency. Locks may begin to seek him out for relief from themselves.
Ace is fully aware of this.
